Science Bytes
Video: Episode 5: Dark MattersThe fifth Science Bytes video is now available on PBS Video and the Science Bytes website. Science Bytes is a collaboration between Kikim Media, PBS, and the Public Library of Science (PLoS), which publishes 7 freely available online journals. These short videos report on the findings of peer-reviewed scientific studies from PLoS journals, delivering information from today's frontiers of science and technology in a clear, concise and visually enticing manner.
Science Bytes brings the world of scientific research to the web in a way that is both entertaining and informative. Collectively, these stories will form a searchable, free, open-source library of science videos and supporting materials. Scientific journal articles are usually written in a technical language that's targeted to a scientific audience, and therefore this critical research is rarely brought to the attention of the general public. Science Bytes is breaking this mold by producing engaging content for a much bigger and broader audience.
Funding for Science Bytes has been provided by The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
